STEVEN TROCH BAND

Steven Troch is sinds het begin van de jaren '90 een vaste waarde – als frontman, als begeleider  en als harmonicaspeler met een eigen stijl. Hij staat bekend als één van de top harmonicaspelers in de Lage Landen – maar hij is ook een scherpzinnige tekstschrijver en een karakteristieke zanger met een wrange, melodieuze stem. Gitarist van dienst Matti De Rijcke speelt met onmiskenbare flair, altijd op het scherpst van de snee. Powerhouse Liesbeth Sprangers legt de vetste basgrooves neer en drummer Dennis de Gier schudt een variatie aan solide ritmes uit zijn polsen. Samen creëren ze dynamische en energieke rootsmuziek, doordrenkt van blues, country, R&B en swing  maar dit alles met een eigen originele draai. De Steven Troch Band speelt enkel zelfgeschreven muziek en putten daaruit uit hun 4 albums.

Sean Chambers began his career in 1998 as the guitarist and bandleader of the legendary Hubert Sumlin, with whom he toured regularly until 2003. The British guitarist described him as "one of the 50 best blues guitarists of the last century". His guitar-heavy blues rock is reminiscent of greats such as Gary Moore and Jeff Healey and earned him an entry in the Florida Music Hall of Fame.
His first solo album "Ten Til Midnight" stayed in the US blues charts for over three months. The following live album "Live from the Long Island Blues Warehouse" not only received rave reviews, but was also awarded the prize for the best blues album of 2011. His eighth studio album, titled "That's What I'm Talkin About," was released in 2020 and is a tribute to his mentor, the late Hubert Sumlin.
In 2023, shortly after the death of Savoy Brown's founder Kim Simmonds, Chambers teamed up with Savoy Brown's rhythm section (Pat De Salvo on bass and Garnet Grimm on drums). Chambers and the members of Savoy Brown had become friends in 2019 at a joint festival appearance. Since Savoy Brown and Sean Chambers are represented together on the same record label (Quarto Valley Records), the collaboration felt right for all three musicians. Kim Simmonds also fully supported the three and gave his blessing to the three shortly before his death on December 13, 2022.
